The story follows the life of professional hired murderer of Agent 47, as narrated in cutscenes by a former director of the FBI to a journalist who is interviewing. The wheelchair using ex-director recounts how his agency track 47 for a period of two years. The game also marks 47's arrival to the United States. The game was a commercial success, selling over 2.1 million units.It is the latest game in the series to feature composer Jesper Kyd. The sequel to Hitman: Absolution has been confirmed by IO Interactive, with a release date of November 20, 2012.
